Andrew White is a partner who focuses on client training and education.
He has delivered more than 450 contract law and commercial IP seminars to global businesses in our sectors including software and e-commerce, communications, life sciences, energy, banking, automotive, aviation and aerospace, retail, media and sport. Most of his events are delivered face-to-face for clients on a one-to-one basis, to foster rapport and intimacy. Andrew has also delivered many web seminars for audiences across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
His project received a commendation in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Awards. The FT described it as "an intelligent, creative take on an old idea that has had tremendous client feedback...".
Andrew became a partner in 2002, and his client training draws on 25 years' experience of transactions, advice and disputes in commercial IT and IP law, plus the insights which clients have shared with him and his colleagues in the course of his events. Andrew collaborates widely with lawyers and business services teams across Bird & Bird to deliver 'joined up' and high-value seminar services.
Andrew is passionate generally about 'smart' delivery of knowhow for clients, and he has developed a range of innovative tools including user-friendly visual materials, a toolkit on presentation skills for lawyers, and generic methodologies in areas like risk allocation and IP management, to streamline clients' global business operations, and help them manage risk.
Andrew is an Associate Fellow of the Saïd Business School, in Oxford, UK. Since 2010 he has taught on a senior-level Executive Education Programme on major programme management, for participants from all over the world.
