Dr. Andreas Obermeier works as patent attorney in the technical field of Chemistry and Pharmacy
Andreas is a patent attorney in our Intellectual Property practice, based in Munich.
His area of practice lies in the field of intellectual property law (including prosecution, opposition, nullity proceedings, infringement proceedings and expert opinions), with a focus on opposition procedures before the European and German Patent Office as well as the Federal Patent Court and nullity proceedings before the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Court of Justice.
His technical focus is in the field of chemistry, in particular inorganic, organic, pharmaceutical chemistry as well as polymer and dye chemistry.
Andreas received his qualification to practice as patent attorney in the patent law firm Gleiss Große Schrell & Partner in Stuttgart, at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court from 2009 to 2012. Andreas was admitted as German patent attorney in 2012 and as European patent attorney in 2013.
Before joining us in August 2015, he worked for three years as patent attorney at the patent law firm Gleiss Große Schrell & Partner in Stuttgart.
Andreas studied chemistry at the University of Munich (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität) from 2000 to 2006.
He did his doctorate at the University of Munich (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität) on a topic in the field of polymer and dye chemistry from 2006 to 2009.
