Andrea Zátková

As a senior associate in our Intellectual Property and Data Protection Groups in Prague, I advise on intellectual property, privacy and data protection issues and unfair competition law.

My main area of expertise is in personal data protection and privacy matters. I have a particular focus on data compliance and related strategic advice, development of internal policies and procedures, data processing through online networks or new technologies and data transfers abroad. I also represent clients before the Czech Data Protection Authority. I have deep knowledge and experience with GDPR compliance for companies from various sectors (e.g. health, technology, media, gambling, cosmetics, finance, tourism, utilities, etc.).

I also focus on intellectual property and unfair competition law. My expertise covers both contentious and non-contentious aspects of various intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, designs, patents, information technology, domain names as well as anti-counterfeiting initiatives, enforcement of IP rights and IP litigation.

I am a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe (CIPP/E) and a member of ALAI Czech Republic.

I joined Bird & Bird in 2009 after three years with a major Czech law firm. I speak fluent Czech, English and French.
