I focus on advising on project financings, joint ventures and other strategic combinations in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector.

I am a partner in our firm's international project finance team. I advise borrowers, sponsors, lenders, alternative debt funds, IPPs and asset managers on project finance transactions, joint ventures and other strategic combinations, focusing on the renewable energy and infrastructure sector. My specialism lies in advising on project financings of onshore and offshore windfarms and photovoltaic power plants and power stations and I have been involved in a number of German law governed project financing of offshore wind farms in the German North Sea.

Clients appreciate my approach to negotiations where I focus on clearly defining the underlying commercial interests of all stakeholders with a view to using my legal and drafting skills to achieve a solid and well-balanced commercial agreement that respects the long life cycles of projects in the renewables / infrastructure space.

From 2008 to 2018, I worked in the project finance teams of two Magic Circle Firms and The Royal Bank of Scotland in Frankfurt am Main, London and Hamburg. Before I joined our firm in March 2021, I was a partner at a leading national law firm, where I led the project finance department.

I was raised in Germany and the US and I hold both German and US citizenship; I speak English, German and French. I was a Visiting Lecturer for Project Finance at the King´s College LL.M. online programme and I regularly publish and give lectures on project finance topics.

• Advised an international consortium of alternative debt funds/asset managers on the junior debt bridge of a windfarm portfolio in Poland with an aggregate volume of €51 million (including advice in connection with the subsequent refinancing and release of security etc.).
• Advised an international alternative debt fund/ asset manager on the €35 million junior debt financing of a PV portfolio in Poland.
• Advised the borrowers on the €140 m joint venture arrangement with a group of investors in relation to a windfarm portfolio in Latin America.
• Advised the borrowers on the senior financing of a windfarm portfolio in Latin America with an aggregate volume of USD 550 million.
• Advised a consortium of issuers on the €110 million junior debt HoldCo financing via listed bonds of a 451MWp solar PV portfolio located in Germany, France and Spain.
• Advised and IPP acting as issuer on the €36 million issue of registered notes in relation to a solar PV portfolio in Germany.
• Advised international lender consortiums on the project financing of the construction of offshore wind farms in the German North Sea with an aggregate debt volume of over €3 billion.
