I first discovered my interest in intellectual property law while I was a student working at a patent attorney's office. This later resulted in my specialisation in patent law. My LL.M. thesis focused on the compulsory licence under anti-trust laws and a FRAND topic in both German and U.S. patent law. Furthermore, I am currently completing my doctoral thesis on issues surrounding the calculation of damages in German patent law. I spent an academic year in the UK, where I sharpened my English language skills and gained insight into the English legal system. During my legal clerkship, I was mentored by the presiding judge of the second (patent) senate of the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. After working for several years in two leading international law firms, I joined our firm in 2018.
