I'm an associate at Bird & Bird in London, specialising in intellectual property law and reputation management, primarily in the media, entertainment, sport and technology sectors.

My IP practice involves advising organisations on the full spectrum of 'soft' rights, with a focus on copyright (including related rights, eg moral rights and performers' rights), and trade mark issues. I have particular experience advising both rightsholders and online platforms in the music, sports and tech industries in relation to infringement issues relating to the use of content, in addition to advising on commercial deals, negotiating licences and rights-clearances.

In addition to my intellectual property experience, I also advise corporates and individuals in relation to media disputes and reputation management, covering defamation, malicious falsehood, harassment, privacy and breaches of confidence.

Combining these areas, I am particularly well placed to deal with digital and traditional publishers, digital content platforms, social media platforms and ISPs, in relation to the removal of sensitive and infringing content from the digital sphere.

Finally, as an editor of the online legal news publication, MediaWrites.Law, I keep well informed about the latest developments in the media, entertainment, sport and technology industries, both from a legal and political perspective.
