Risto has wealth of experience advising on dispute resolution matters as well as construction and real estate law matters. He is well known in the legal industry in Finland, and for the numerous positions of trust he has held over the years. Risto has previously acted as the President of the Finnish Bar Association (2013–2016) and before that, as the Vice President of the Finnish Bar Association, President of the Helsinki Bar Association and a member of the board of the Association of Finnish Lawyers. Furthermore, Risto has represented the Finnish Bar Association actively in CCBE (The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe) and IBA (International Bar Association).
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, Risto worked for another major Finnish law firm, and has formerly worked for US based law firm as well.
