We've been recognised in three categories at the FT Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers Awards, which were recently held in Hong Kong.
In the FT Law 25 - Internationally headquartered firms list, we were ranked 15th out of 25. This is a significant step up on last year when we were ranked 21st.
In the Business of Law category we were one of only four firms recognised as "stand out" with the FT praising the way the firm has "built up its Asia-Pacific business by focusing on its core strength of technology". This initiative was also shortlisted for the Innovation in the Business of Law award.
CEO David Kerr said "We are delighted that our growing presence and strength in the Asia-Pacific region is being recognised in this way. It is the result of a tremendous collective effort by everyone in the region within the firm."
We were also commended for our Indonesian cooperation agreements, with the FT noting the way we established "a bridgehead in Indonesia through concluding two agreements with competing law firms".
Justin Walkey, Chair of Asia Pacific region added "It is great to get such acknowledgement after so much work by so many people. It is also particularly good to see our efforts at boosting our regional image through cooperation arrangements being recognised."
