Bird & Bird, Europe's leading Technology law firm, will host the Munich Disruptive technologies Challenge on November 6th and 7th. Open to German, Austrian and Swiss based Entrepreneurs, Innovators and Emerging Companies, Bird & Bird will provide a platform for 10 companies focused on disruptive technologies to pitch their ideas, products and services to 15 C-level leaders from major global tech organisations.

Bird & Bird want applications from genuinely innovative and disruptive tech companies working on products related to Big Data, Cyber Security and the Internet of Things.

In return you will have the opportunity to pitch and promote your products to genuine industry leaders from the global tech community. Receiving invaluable feedback on your business strategy and objectives, with the benefit of mentoring and guidance from Europe's leading technology lawyers, while developing your own business network on a domestic and international level.


Your opportunities

  • Develop your international network and raise your profile with key decision makers, through our networking and knowledge events, scheduled for October, and developed exclusively for participants in this challenge.
  • Receive feedback on your business objectives and strategy from industry leaders.
  • Benefit from one-to-one mentoring and guidance from leading technology lawyers. 
  • The top 10 submissions will be shortlisted to present at the finals in Munich on November 6th and 7th.
  • Each company will have 45 minutes (presentation and questions) to present their product to the panel of C-Level IT directors.
  • Each finalist will receive the “Bird & Bird Understanding Innovation Award” which you can promote to investors and clients.

Prize packages: 1. To accelerate the international growth of the top three participants we offer: mentoring workshops and a business “health check”, thorough one-to one sessions with some of Bird & Birds leading Commercial, IP and Corporate experts, and mentoring support from the other judging companies. 2. The winning entry for each category (Big Data, Cyber Security, Internet of Things) will be invited to present at Bird & Bird’s Annual IT Law Update in London on November 2015, attended by over 200 of the leading business figures in the UK technology sector.
