Bird & Bird's teams advised the US listed company Dolby Laboratories Inc. (NYSE : DLB) in the acquisition of Doremi Labs, the leading provider of digital cinema video playback solutions and the distributor Highlands Technologies SAS.
The transaction has been successfully completed on October 31st, 2014 and will enable Dolby to improve its cinema experience, develop new forms of storytelling, and accelerate the deployment of innovative solutions. This acquisition establishes Dolby as a leader in audio and video playback solutions with a comprehensive product portfolio for the cinema industry.
