Bird & Bird’s leading position in the intellectual property arena was again affirmed, taking home four awards at the 2012 Managing Intellectual Property Global Awards, held in London this month.
We were recognised for the fifth consecutive year as ‘European Patent Firm of the Year’ and ‘Singapore Law Firm of the Year’ for the fourth year running.
Our Swedish IP team was awarded ‘Sweden Firm of the Year’ and our UK team was acknowledged for its top-tier trade mark work, winning ‘UK Trade Mark Contentious Firm of the Year’.
Co-head of our International Intellectual Property Practice Group, Morag Macdonald commented: “We’re delighted to be acknowledged for our achievements both on a local and international level. I think that this demonstrates that our focus on quality of legal advice and client service is taking the Bird & Bird IP group in both Europe and Asia from strength to strength.”
Shortlisted for a total of 15 categories and winning four, the only other firm to win four awards alongside Bird & Bird was Baker Mackenzie, recognised for their work in Russia, Thailand, Indonesia and Europe for copyright.
