Bird & Bird won Best Strategic Leadership at the Managing Partners’ Forum (MPF) Awards 2013.
The MPF represents the leadership team at professional service firms (law, accountancy, real estate and consultancy) and provides knowledge and insights to help them reach better-informed business decisions. Its awards recognise the best managed firms across the professions and the Best Strategic Leadership category is for the management team that has communicated a vision and strategic direction for the firm in a way that inspires everyone at the firm and clarifies their expected contribution.
CEO David Kerr said: “This award recognises that the strategy we have been following for many years is really paying off. Despite the extremely challenging markets, 2012 was another strong year, with growth across all our offices. We achieved that by providing our clients with deep industry knowledge, international reach and excellent client service recognised most recently by the firm being named among the top three firms in the UK for client satisfaction.”
Alastair Graham, Corporate Development and Strategy Director, added that: “The success from having a clear strategy for many years is visible to all. But our continued success will come about by ensuring everyone in the business understands our strategy, that it is clearly communicated and by everyone pulling in the same direction. The legal industry is in for a period of significant change; we need to ensure we are at the forefront of that change".
