International law firm Bird & Bird announces today that it has promoted four lawyers to the partnership in its annual round of partnership promotions.
The appointments follow the recent promotions of Andrew Hallgarth and Stuart Blythe in London. As of 1 May, Bird & Bird will have a total of 215 partners.
The new partners are:
Blanca Escribano heads the Communications Group in Madrid. Her main areas of work include: contractual and commercial agreements, regulatory and competition law, day-to-day counselling and litigation and dispute resolution.
Osvaldo Lombardi is based in Bird & Bird’s Rome office and his main area of expertise is civil and commercial litigation. Osvaldo has also developed significant experience in the communications sector.
Anders Nilsson is based in Stockholm and has considerable national and international experience in public and private M&A, including take-overs and IPOs. Within the Aviation & Aerospace Sector Group, Anders advises clients on aircraft operating leases, financing, outsourcing of aircraft maintenance, restructurings and divestments.
Patrick Sinewe is based in Frankfurt and advises in all areas of international and corporate tax law. He specialises in restructuring and group tax law as well as on M&A, LBO and private equity related tax issues.
Over the past twelve months Bird & Bird has opened in Finland (through a merger with Fennica Attorneys), Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Shanghai (the latter in addition to existing offices in Hong Kong and Beijing). The firm has also merged with London firm Lane & Partners LLP and entered into a global association with ATMD Bird & Bird LLP (formerly Alban Tay Mahtani & de Silva LLP), one of Singapore’s leading law firms.
