Bird & Bird launches Communications Practice in Madrid


International law firm Bird & Bird today announces the appointment of telecommunications specialist Blanca Escribano, who joins the firm to launch a dedicated Communications Practice in Madrid.

Blanca joins the firm from DLA Piper, and with more than 10 years’ experience advising on telecoms liberalisation in Spain and other EU member states, specialises in privatisations, counselling operators on regulatory frameworks and advising on specific sector contracts and bidding processes. Blanca has also been named as a leading individual in Communications/TMC by Chambers Global since 2004.

Commenting on her appointment, Frédérique Dupuis-Toubol, Managing Partner of Bird & Bird’s París office and co-head of the firm’s International Communication Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Blanca to Bird & Bird.
