International law firm Bird & Bird has advised international search consultancy, Global Resource Solutions Group (GRS), on its £18 million management buy-out. GRS CEO, Ken Brotherston, led the buy-out team which was backed by private equity firm Penta Capital. Investec Bank provided the debt finance.
Founded in 2002, GRS is an international specialist search consultancy focusing on Senior Manager and Director levels within Risk, Legal, Tax and Interim. Headquartered in Brighton, GRS operates out of 7 offices in Hong Kong, London, Munich, New York, Paris, and Zurich.
The Bird & Bird team was led by corporate partner, Simon Fielder who was assisted by corporate assistant, Joanne Bletcher. Bird & Bird’s offices in France, Germany and Hong Kong were also involved in the due diligence aspects of the transaction. Corporate finance advice was provided by Katie Folwell-Davies and Tom Gallop at Deloitte.
