International law firm Bird & Bird has been advising Veris plc, the AIM and IEX listed property services company, on its acquisition of Orange Environmental Building Services Limited and Orange Support Services Limited, a group of facilities management companies headquartered in Fleet, Hampshire. The value of the deal was £10.1mn. The transaction represents Veris plc’s first UK acquisition.
Bird & Bird worked on all corporate aspects of the deal which was led by corporate partner, Matt Dennis, assisted by corporate associate David Lowe and corporate tax associate Caroline Brown. Other members of the team included Brett Israel (partner, Banking), Alison Dixon (Employment), Amy Johns (Real Estate) and Chris Healy (Banking).
David Maughan of Maples and Calder, Dublin advised Veris plc on the Irish law elements of the transaction. Grant Thornton acted as financial advisor to Orange.
