Key addition to expanding international tax practice

International law firm, Bird & Bird has just recruited a tax partner to join its office in London. Joining from DLA where he was head of the tax practice in the City Office, partner Trevor James will be joining Bird & Bird on 1st July 2002. His recruitment comes after a long run of significant hires across the firm’s expanding international tax practice.

With over 13 years experience of a wide range of domestic and international corporate tax issues gained as an associate at Theodore Goddard and as a partner at DLA, Trevor will offer valuable support to Bird & Bird’s expanding flow of high profile corporate work. His appointment also follows a series of significant developments in Bird & Bird’s international tax practice with the recent launch of dedicated tax practices in The Hague and Paris.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard Ward, head of Bird & Bird’s international tax practice said:

“I’m very glad that Trevor has agreed to join us. Trevor’s experience of corporate tax issues, particularly of venture capital work, M&A activity and complex tax structurings within the international arena will prove to be instrumental in providing a first class service to our clients. His appointment, coupled with the recruitment of partner Anne Quenedey and her team in Paris and partners Pieter Camps and Martin Rabenort in The Hague, has significantly bolstered our tax practice on an international level”.

Commenting on his appointment, Trevor James added:

“Bird & Bird have an excellent reputation in key sectors with a growing reputation for international corporate work. The chance to be part of this expanding team and to develop the tax practice even further marks an important step in my career. I am delighted to be joining them”.
