Bird & Bird Gains Tax Partner in Paris

New team boosts expanding international tax practice

International law firm, Bird & Bird has just recruited a tax partner and two assistants to its office in Paris. Joining from Andersen Legal, partner Anne Quenedey will head up the tax practice in Paris. Assistants, Cyrille Boquet and Carolle Thain, will also be joining the firm on 8th June 2002.

The recruitment follows rapid growth in Bird & Bird’s international tax practice, having recently established a dedicated tax team in The Hague. With wide experience in the tax arena, Quenedey’s appointment will also complement the firm’s range of corporate services to its international clients.

Commenting on the appointments, managing partner of Bird & Bird’s office in Paris, Frédérique Dupuis-Toubol, said:

“I am very glad that Anne will be joining us. Our clients, many of whom are international, require the full range of corporate support and a key service is tax. Anne and her team have very strong international tax planning experience and this will be a key area for development together with our established tax practices in the UK and The Hague. Anne’s background also aligns with our sector focus as she has represented clients in the IP, e-business and new technology industries. She and her team are a perfect fit.”

Anne Quenedey adds:

“Bird & Bird has an excellent reputation in key sectors. Information Technology is one of these. The chance to develop the Paris tax practice in such a highly focused and leading firm marks a significant step in my career. I am delighted to be joining them”.
