A minority share in the Danish IT-company Omada has been sold for 25 million dollars to the English venture capital firm C5.

Omada specialises in data security and the company has been profitable since it was established in 2000. C5 is known for investing in high profit, rapid-growth firms in the IT-security department. Omada's customers include BMW Group, Maersk, Bayer Group, Novozymes etc.

Although Omada financially was not in need of an investor, the shareholders of Omada decided that C5 would be the perfect fit to help expand Omada's business further. Omada has received many offers from other potential investors, but C5 was chosen because of its experience and large network within this area of business.

As a minority shareholder C5 now has a seat on the board of Omada and a new even more aggressive growth plan for Omada has been made.
