Status of ratification
A bill on ratification of the UPC Agreement was approved on 3 November 2017. The ratification entered into force on 1 July 2017.
Local or Regional CFI
Regional. Lithuania will be part of the Nordic-Baltic regional division of the UPC with Sweden, Estonia and Latvia (as established on 4 March 2014, read more on this on the related link below). The ratification of a bill on the establishment of a Nordic-Baltic regional division of the UPC entered into force on 1 July 2017.

The amendments of the Law on Patents implementing UP/UPC legislation entered into force on 1 July 2017.
Other UP matters of interest
To enforce UPC decisions they have to be translated to the Lithuanian language.
The Declaration of the Contracting Nordic and Baltic States to the Agreement on the Establishment of The Nordic-Baltic regional division of the UPC sets out principles for the designation of the location of hearings held by the Nordic-Baltic regional division (read more on this on the related link below).
