Denmark 29.06.2017 Implementing legislation expected in October 2017.
Finland 02.08.2017 Consultation phase of the Working Group's proposal ran until 8 September 2017. It is expected that a formal government proposal on the new Data Protection Act will be submitted to the Parliament in autumn 2017 or during early spring 2018. When it comes to special laws on data protection, responsible Ministries will lead the preparation of relevant amendments to currently applicable laws. More detailed information is expected in late 2017.
France 29.06.2017 French Parliament to review draft legislation by December 2017. Implementing decrees to be issued by May 2018.
Germany 07.08.2017 GDPAA passed on 5 July 2017. No estimated deadline for data protection laws of the German Federal States ('Bundesländer') and sector-specific data protection laws.
Hungary 16.10.2017 The Ministry of Justice is likely to submit the draft to the government meeting in Q4 2017 and in this case it is likely that the Parliament will vote on it during Q1 2018.
