Bird & Bird's UAS Roundtable

18 September 2019

16:00 - 20:00

Bird & Bird
12 New Fetter Lane
London EC4A 1JP

Bird & Bird's UAS roundtable programme provides a forum in which those working in the UAS industry can network in an informal environment, explore industry trends, exchange views on matters of common interest, and share ideas, knowledge and best practice.

Join us at our next roundtable event where we aim to introduce something of a military flavour. We are pleased to be joined by guest speakers Pete Hughes of Stick and Rudder Ltd and Tony Reeves of Level 7 Expertise who will draw on their experience of the military use of UAS and debate whether there is a read across to the future of commercial operations. Ahead of the introduction of mandatory registration in the autumn, we'll also hear the operator's perspective from Rupert Dent of ARPAS-UK on the plans for registration of drones. And Richard Deakin, Chairman EMEA of AirMap and CEO of Stratospheric Platforms Ltd, will lead a discussion on the regulatory aspects of UTM and the steps that are necessary ahead of introduction of the new EASA regime for open and specific operations in July 2020. We'll also do our usual round-up of regulatory developments in Europe and the US.

We look forward to hosting you at what is sure to be a lively and engaging debate and would be delighted if you'd join us for a drink afterwards.
