Please join us for an evening to celebrate the launch of 'IT Contracts and Disputes Management: A Practitioner's Guide to the Project Lifecycle', the only English law book of its kind. The text explores the legal issues that customers and suppliers involved in a technology project can face at each of its critical stages.
Two of the co-authors Rachel Glass and Lawrence Akka QC (from 20 Essex Street), will be joined by senior associates Matthew Pack and Priyan Meewella to expand upon some of the themes the book explores:
- Rachel will talk about project ‘rescue’ and resuscitation, touching on the legal issues which arise from re-baselining a project and attempts to leverage or preserve rights while the parties negotiate.
- Is software "goods"? Matt and Priyan look at the latest developments and how technology is outpacing the law.
- Lawrence will talk on 'A change to our regular programme’: contractual variation and change control in the light of Rock Advertising v MWB.
Drinks and canapés will follow.
"Brilliant! A must read for those involved in any disputes. The authors have masterfully woven an expose of the law with pragmatic and practical steps that a party should consider whilst working through a dispute." (Jeevan D'Silva, General Counsel, T-Systems Limited).
All attendees will be able to benefit from a 30% online discount if purchasing the book directly from Edward Elgar Publishing.
