Macron Labour Reforms: What changes to the French employment market could mean for you

Date: 12 October 2017
Time: 08:00 - 10:00    Venue: Bird & Bird, 12 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1JP

"I am fully determined and I won't cede any ground, not to slackers, nor cynics, nor hardliners."

French President Emmanuel Macron has been true to his campaign word, pushing through plans to liberalise the French employment market just four months after entering office. Presented on 31 August and expected to pass into law by the end of the month, his latest proposals suggest a shift in power in favour of the employer and have already been met with protects across cities in France.

Join us for breakfast, where Benjamine Fielder and Chris Ivey, members of our dedicated employment team in France, will be in London to provide their assessment on the proposed reforms and the challenges that this legislative and social movement will bring for those operating in this complex jurisdiction.
