In May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force. The scale of changes imposed by the GDPR are extensive and will introduce significant new requirements on organisations that process personal data. The e-Privacy framework (dealing amongst other things with electronic direct marketing) is also under revision and something to have in mind when sending electronic marketing.
