FutureTech: Internet of Things Day

Date: 02 March 2017
Time: 10.00 - 18.30    Venue: Bird & Bird, 12 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1JP

There is no shortage of discussion about the possibilities of the Internet of Things nor of companies marketing smart and connected products and services. This is part of the world we live in already. There is also no shortage of discussion of the threats posed by IoT solutions – from cyber-attacks and massively increased collection of personal data to safety issues posed by increased automation and new pressure on communications networks. However, there is less discussion about how these risks can be managed and mitigated in practice. This event will therefore take a very practical look at what our lawyers and invited industry specialists have seen and done in practice on a range of IoT projects across different industry sectors.
