Data Protection Compliance Support Group

08 September 2016

15.00 - 17.00

Bird & Bird, 12 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1JP

In 2015, Bird & Bird launched a quarterly support group for those responsible for data protection compliance within their organisations, to help them identify and discuss the key actions which they should be prioritising and pitfalls to avoid given the momentous changes which are being implemented in this area of law.

Our next session will be held in our new London office (12 New Fetter Lane) on Thursday 8th September and will feature sessions on: the data protection implications of Brexit; preparing for the GDPR - drafting supplier agreements; and the EU-US Privacy Shield.

The meeting will provide an informal, round-table setting for those involved in this important area of compliance to share ideas and experiences and to discuss the challenges that they face. Drinks and an opportunity to network with other guests will follow the meeting. In particular, those new to data protection compliance will be catered for, although the group is suitable for those with all levels of experience and whether from a legal, regulatory, HR or security background.
