In an increasingly design-conscious world, a key differentiator between competing products is their appearance. Companies are beginning to fully appreciate the fundamental role that design protection can play in the commercial success of their products. And it's not just the design of the product itself; the design of the packaging, advertising materials, fonts, logos, icons and GUIs can be equally as important. However, wherever there is great design, copyists follow; often taking the faster track to market.

Bird & Bird are delighted to co-host this event with ACID (Anti Copying in Design) to discuss practical strategies for successfully tackling copycats. Magmatic (the designers of Trunki), a pro-active ACID member, will also present a case study based on their own experiences at the forefront of British design.
