Wage / remuneration issues
In this session, we will be addressing various considerations for a company when putting together an employee's remuneration package (salary and benefits). It is important for companies to comply with the minimum statutory requirements as well as consider the best way to retain and motivate employees. Employers should also pay attention to the permitted circumstances when deductions from salary can be made as the Employment Act ("EA") prohibits deductions being made by an employer from an employee’s salary other than in accordance with the EA. We will also address salary considerations for foreign employees.
