Breakfast Seminar: Insider Lessons on Global Fraud Investigations & Asset Recovery

30 June 2017

8:30 - 10:30

Bird & Bird ATMD LLP, 2 Shenton Way, #18-01 SGX Centre 1, Singapore 068804

The business world continues to face a series of challenges on several fronts. Energy price, political and financial fluctuations have resulted in interrupted projects, contract cancellations, debt restructuring and insolvency. Desperation for corporate survival and geopolitical instability add to increasing corporate malfeasance, unlawful movement of funds, bribery, corruption and fraud. On the other side, regulators in Asia, America and Europe urge that fraudsters and money launderers be held accountable for their duplicitous actions and myriad consequences.

As transactions become more complex and multi-jurisdictional, disputes involving cross-border elements arise. Any fraud investigation and asset recovery strategy or plan therefore needs to consider global perspectives. Cyber-threats add even more challenges.

Join us for a lively discussion as seasoned expert investigators from Interfor Inc and dispute resolution specialists from Bird & Bird Singapore draw from decades of experience and share stories from the field and their views and strategies for global asset recovery and dynamic investigations across multiple jurisdictions.
