Ladies@Bird 2017

12 September 2017

EYE Filmmuseum, Amsterdam

On 12 September we will be hosting our exclusive annual Ladies@Bird event for our female contacts. Ladies@Bird is a unique event for successful business women providing expert insights into relevant hot topics and creating networking opportunities.

This year's topic is digital transformation. We are happy to have Lara Ankersmit, Head of Digital at NOS (Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) as our key note speaker. What challenges does the largest news organisation of the Netherlands face when it comes to digitalisation? From the traditional Eight O'clock News to 24/7 online news, apps and social media, Lara will share both her best and less effective practices with us and what this can mean for your business, with ample time for discussion.

In addition, Bird & Bird partner Pauline Kuipers will discuss competition law developments relating online or digital content markets such the recent findings of the European Commission in its E-commerce sector inquiry and Google's EUR 2.4 billion fine. Also, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets published a study into market power by online streaming platforms in relation to the online advertising and online video markets.

The presentations will be held in English. After the talks there will be an exclusive tour through the EYE museum and time to network while enjoying drinks and canapés.

Did you know that?

For the fifth time in a row, Bird & Bird NL has won the Euromoney LMG Europe Women in Business Law Award 'Best in Country' for the Netherlands. Our Ladies@Bird event was a decisive factor in winning this prestigious award.
