When commercial arrangements break down, your natural instinct may be to turn to contract law to identify remedies to assist. However, in circumstances where no contract exists with a potential counter-party, or the remedies set out in your contract are limited what other avenues might be open to you for recourse?
In this session Richard Keady and Gloria Cheung will cover:
- Identify circumstances in which a contractual claim may not be available,
- use case studies to explore alternative, tort-based causes of action (including economic torts, conspiracy and breach of confidence), and
- look at the different considerations which apply when pursuing a non-contractual claim in the HK courts (including limitation issues and alternative measures of damages)
The seminar is free of charge, however places are limited.
CPD has been applied for with the Law Society of Hong Kong.
