The focus on protecting trade secrets, as one of the most valuable assets of any business, has never been at a higher level across the Asia Pacific, particularly given the ever-changing technological landscape and growth of disruptive technologies. Traditional means of safeguarding confidential information and trade secrets are no longer sufficient and not all organisations are truly aware of who has access to their trade secrets or, the frequency with which they are disclosed either intentionally or unintentionally disclosed. One of the biggest threats to a business' trade secrets is the "insider threat" posed by current and former employees who either deliberately or inadvertently leak them.
The objective of this briefing and round table discussion will be to bring together HR and management professionals to discuss the real threats and challenges faced by businesses domestically and as part of doing business across the Asia Pacific region. We will focus on practical steps and strategies that businesses can adopt to ensure that their trade secrets are protected throughout the entire employment lifecycle despite the advances in technology. This forum will not only provide you with insight from our experiences in Australia and across the region but also the opportunity to share experiences with peers who are facing similar issues and challenges.
Presenting at this event will be members of the International Trade Secrets Protection Group Lesley Maclou
