Graduate Recruitment, Helsinki
If you wish to work in one of the leading business law firms in Finland with an international approach and hope to gain outstanding work experience and first-class professional skills, we are happy to introduce you to our trainee programme.
The trainee programme consists of four intensive and interesting months during which you will be working as a full-time trainee. The purpose of the programme is to give you a general picture of Bird & Bird as well as practising commercial business law. You will work for various practise groups, assisting the firm's lawyers in diverse and challenging assignments. You will for example draft legal documentation, clear up legal issues and collect information regarding a wide variety of issues. You will be supported by your trainee colleagues and an assigned personal tutor, who will guide you through your entire traineeship.
If you are in the final stages of your studies, highly motivated, eager to learn and have a good command of Finnish and English, you may be the candidate we are looking for.
Our trainee periods begin regularly nine times each year: in January, February, April, May, June, August, September, October and December.
The following comments are from our former Trainees:
"It was great to work in an international and welcoming atmosphere without being placed on any one particular practise group. Hence the assignments I completed on a daily basis were very diverse, which kept things interesting."
"The topmost impression of my traineeship is the relaxed atmosphere. I have probably never laughed as much as I did – thanks to my colleagues with whom we handled even the tightest schedules with humour. In addition to being an internationally recognised law firm, Bird & Bird is also a fun place to work where every 'birdie's' effort is valued."
Application period for the Trainee periods starting in August, September, October and December 2017 as well as January 2018 is closed. The application period for Trainee periods in spring 2018 will be open in autumn 2017.
