Maximiliane is an experienced trade mark lawyer. For years Maximiliane has advised clients on international trade mark and design issues. She has a particular focus on directing and controlling trade mark and design procedures both nationally and internationally as well as planning and managing global IP portfolios.

Maximiliane studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She has been a lawyer since 1989 and has been a trade mark specialist since 1992. Before joining Bird & Bird, Maximiliane worked with a major German law firm from 1992-1995 where she advised clients on trade mark management. She has lead teams of specialists at other major German law firms and since July 2002, at Bird & Bird.

Maximiliane lectures on intellectual property and trade mark management issues. She is the co-author of the authoritative German book on trade marks, (“Handbuch Markenrecht”).
