Lena joined Bird & Bird in October 2007. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Group. Her work focuses on trade mark law, copyright law, domain law, and unfair competition. She has also had several years experience in information technology and media law.
Lena studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University, Münster. During her legal training at the District Court Wuppertal, she dealt chiefly with information technology and intellectual property law and worked for the law firm, Linklaters Oppenhoff & Rädler, and for the WDR media group, in Cologne.
While she was writing her doctoral thesis, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Information, Telecommunication and Media Law of Prof. Dr. Hoeren, in Münster, (2005-2007) where she mainly focused on the interdisciplinary project “internet economy” and on the subprojects “antitrust law and policy” and “trademarks and trademark law”. Lena was admitted to the Düsseldorf Bar in February 2008.
