Dirk specialises in real estate transactions and distressed debt transactions. He is a member of the International Real Estate Practice Group.

He is experienced in structuring and implementation of complex transactions, including acquisitions of huge real estate portfolios and non-performing loan portfolios and familiar with the specialties of both, bidding processes and off-market transactions.

Before joining Bird & Bird, Dirk worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. He was admitted to the Frankfurt Bar in 2000. Dirk holds a doctorate in law from the University of Mannheim.
