Céline has obtained degrees in law both in France and in England. She qualified into Bird & Bird’s Intellectual Property department in 2003, having completed her training in Bird & Bird’s London and Paris offices.
Céline handles a broad range of IP work, with particular emphasis on trade marks, passing off and domain names. Recent experience includes acting on trade mark infringement and anti-counterfeiting matters, advising in relation to trade mark oppositions for both UK and Community trade marks as well as coordinating international brand protection strategies. She has also worked on a number of domain name disputes and regularly advises in relation to Internet fraud (such as fraudulent websites and spoofed e-mails). Céline has also been involved in several passing off cases including the Phones 4U Limited v. Phone4u.co.uk Internet Limited litigation, a passing off and trade mark infringement case which is pending before the Court of Appeal.
Céline also advises generally on copyright and designs, and she is currently involved in a breach of confidence action.
