Blanca heads the Communications Group at Bird & Bird in Spain.

She joined the firm in March 2008 and is based in the Madrid office. Prior to joining Bird & Bird she worked for the EU & Competition law group of DLA Piper and Jones Day, after starting her professional carrier in a Spanish legal firm focusing on telecommunications law. 

Blanca specialises in advising clients operating in the communications and media sectors. Her main areas of work include: contractual and commercial agreements, regulatory and competition law day-to-day counselling and litigation and dispute resolution. Blanca has extensive experience in litigation before national courts and sector specific regulators. She has also been involved in mergers & acquisitions proceedings and antitrust cases in this sector before national and EC competition authorities.

Blanca is a regular speaker at conferences, seminars, forums, radio panels and law schools and has published several articles in Spanish and in international publications on communications and competition law.

Blanca has been named leading individual in Communications/TMC by Chambers  2004-2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
