Nick is an associate in the Intellectual Property group, based in the London office. He has a broad practice which includes advising on many aspects of intellectual property law, though he has a particular interest in matters concerning trade marks, passing off, copyright and designs. Nick has been involved in a variety of matters within the e-commerce, media, sport, and communications/IT sectors. He was recently seconded for five months to the in-house IP department of a large UK telecoms client, where he additionally gained experience in advertising regulation and consumer law.
Nick’s recent work has seen him acting on an ongoing Europe-wide IP enforcement programme combatting look-alike consumer goods and advising on areas such as domain name disputes and copyright issues relating to multi-media services.
He regularly contributes to a number of legal publications, including the Journal of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents and the World Intellectual Property Report.
Nick speaks fluent French, and spent two months working in Bird & Bird’s Brussels office in 2006.
