Louise qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and since then has advised on all aspects of EC and UK competition law.
Louise has extensive experience of providing competition law advice across a range of sectors on a variety of commercial agreements including agency, distribution, sponsorship, technology licensing and research and development agreements. She has also advised on potentially anti-competitive behaviour in relation to market dominance.
Louise has defended clients under investigation by competition authorities for potential cartel arrangements. She has also drafted and presented competition law compliance programmes.
She has supported commercial deals by advising on all aspects of EC and UK competition law and merger control, including making merger notifications to various national competition authorities and the European Commission.
She has also advised regulated businesses (post, water, gas and communications) on their rights and obligations under competition law and sector economic regulation
Louise has worked, on secondment, in-house at BP Castrol and Centrica. She has contributed to books on competition law and is a member of the Law Society’s Solicitors’ European Group.
