Jörg joined Bird & Bird in August 2007. He is member of the Real Estate/Restructuring Team and provides legal advice for international and domestic clients on all aspects of commercial property matters, in particular with respect to transactions on real estate and real estate loans.

Before joining Bird & Bird, Jörg worked for a German law firm specialising in transactions, asset management and real estate. He was admitted to the Hamburg Bar in 2006. During his prequalification training (Referendariat), Jörg worked for an international law firm with a focus on corporate and commercial law and also gained an insight into South African law while working for a law firm in Cape Town. During his studies at the university of Constance he worked, among others, in the legal department of a leading German bank. After his first state examination in law he started his doctoral thesis on the law of genetic engineering.
