Giovanni has been a partner in Bird & Bird’s Milan office since 2005, and manages the Milan IP department together with Massimiliano Mostardini.
“Client-friendly and highly pragmatic”, Giovanni is recommended for his very “good litigation attitude” and considered a “star” in the Italian IP sector in which he has been active for more than 10 years. He has been with the firm since the opening of the Milan office – which he helped to launch - and specialises and is highly recognised in Italy for all IP matters especially national and international patents and trade mark litigations. Giovanni has handled and coordinated numerous pan-European patent cases for national and international clients in recent years as well as some leading trademark and domain name disputes.
He is currently personally assisting major European and Fortune 100 US companies in some of the biggest and highly technical patent litigation pending in Italy.
Giovanni has authored some publications in the field of patent and trademark law for Italian and European legal magazines. He is member of AIPLA, LES, AIPPI and SISPI.
