Our International Aviation & Aerospace Group works as one team across our 19 office network and gives expert advice on all the specialist legal issues that arise across the whole of the aviation and aerospace sector.

The recent merger between Bird & Bird and Lane & Partners has consolidated two leading commercial aviation practices into one of the most comprehensive aviation commercial legal teams in Europe.

The integration of the two firms adds Bird & Bird's UK strength in aircraft asset management and complex defence contracting to Lane & Partners' expertise in civil aviation regulatory matters, aircraft insurance and leasing disputes and UK and European competition law.

We have practical "hands on" experience of acting for the aviation industry rather than predominantly for insurers or lenders. We currently act for many of the world's major aviation and aerospace businesses, including airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, lessors, financiers, ground handlers, MROs, freight forwarders, insurers, tour operators and travel agents, industry associations and online booking providers.
