Getting to know us

If you would like to know more about Bird & Bird in The Hague, there are various ways in which you can contact us. During the academic year we will be present at job fairs and conferences organised by students. We also organise in-house meetings for students on a regular basis. Internships / Student Stage

If you are a student studying Dutch law and would like to know what it is like to work for an international law firm, you can apply for an internship at Bird & Bird. We offer internships to students in Dutch law, notarial law or tax law. Over two months you will get to know our firm and the daily practice of law. The internship will involve preparing written advice for clients, attending meetings with clients and court hearings. You are also welcome to attend our internal training courses or seminars and social events such as our regular Friday evening drinks. For more information, view our internship advertisement.

Application Procedure

Applications for an internship can be made at any time. As soon as we have received your application, one of the partners of the practice of your interest will review your letter. If you pass this selection, you will be invited for an interview conducted by a partner and/or associate. This interview is more of a general interview to get to know you better. We will of course discuss your legal skills with you, but are also interested in your personal interests and opinions. After this interview we will let you know as soon as possible what our decision is. We aim to complete the procedure within one month after receipt of your letter of application.
