Stefano has been specialising in financial law matters since 1999.
Between 2000 to 2002 he co-operated as “Cultore di diritto Commerciale” with the Commercial Law Department at the University in Como.
Before joining Bird & Bird in 2003, Stefano was member of the Corporate Banking and Finance department of Andersen Legal in Milan where he dealt with corporate, commercial, banking and finance matters.
His work is mainly focused on advising major investment and asset management companies, banks as well as insurance companies belonging to national and international groups.
Stefano has particular experience in the field of financial services and capital markets as well as in insurance matters. His work includes preparing agreements, offering documentation for solicitation of public savings, letters of intent, due diligence reports, shareholder agreements and provides assistance in relation to incorporation of Newcos (including financial intermediaries), special purpose vehicles and undertakings for collective investments. Stefano also provides advice on outsourcing projects/transactions involving financial intermediaries.
He is a native Italian speaker, is fluent in English and speaks basic French.
