Simon's information technology and e-commerce experience includes development, procurement and licensing agreements for software, hardware and online services, and in this field his clients have included major corporate procurement teams, independent software houses and internet start-ups.

In relation to commercial contracts, Simon has had extensive experience acting for a major supplier to the National Programme for IT (the IT modernisation programme for the UK's National Health Service). His work on that project during both the bidding and implementation phases has afforded him considerable experience across the spectrum of issues arising in connection with complex projects, including subcontractor and programme change management, as well as familiarity with sophisticated project management methodologies. He is also very familiar with outsourcing arrangements - both IT and BPO outsourcing - as well as distribution, agency, content licensing and service agreements, where he has acted for suppliers, customers and intermediaries.

Simon has enjoyed extensive secondments with a major UK telecommunications operator and his experience in that sector includes regulated services, managed service agreements and international carrier services agreements. His experience in relation to mobile platforms includes both content and finance aggregation arrangements.

Simon holds degrees in both law and science (physics and mathematics) from the University of Melbourne. In addition to the commercial aspects of technology his interests include intelligent business tools & techniques and analytical design.
