Michele de Mari

Michele holds a degree in law (magna cum laude) obtained from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome and has assiduously cultivated research and study activities within the Company law field with particular interest in issues relating to corporate law and financial market law.

Following his graduation, Michele obtained a PHD in Company law. In November 2006 he was appointed associate professor in Company law and he teaches also financial market law and International Business Law at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Verona.

Admitted to the Italian bar in 1996, Michele has worked with law firms operating in the civil law, commercial, and financial markets assisting companies, banks, investment firms and enterprise groups.

Michele has also been a member of the Lawyer Examination Committee at the Court of Appeal in Venice in 2006.

Michele has worked for the Italian Securities Authority (Commissione Nazionale per le società e la Borsa) from January 2000 to October 2006, in the Intermediaries Division. In Consob he gained a long and significant experience  in the supervision and regulation fields.

He has authored many legal articles including monographs “La quotazione di azioni nei mercati regolamentati:profile negoziali e rilievo organizzativo”, Torino, 2004 and “Intermediari e promotori finanziari”, Torino, 2005 (in which he is co-author).
