Lutz joined Bird & Bird in 2007 and is a member of the Employment Group. He advises German and international clients on all employment law related aspects of M&A and corporate transactions and reorganisations of undertakings, individual and collective employment law and the legal aspects of company pension schemes.
He has broad experience in negotiations with employees’ representatives and the implementation of redundancy programs and plant closures. He frequently advises on all aspects of individual employment law such as employment contracts, termination of employment, separation agreements, and employment related benefits. He represents clients before all German labour courts.
Lutz was admitted to the Frankfurt Bar in 2001. He studied law at the University of Bayreuth and completed supplementary studies for lawyers in business administration and economics (“Wirtschaftsjurist Univ. Bayreuth”). Before joining Bird & Bird, Lutz worked for Hengeler Mueller in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, and was on a one year secondment at Slaughter and May in London.
