Beatriz Díaz de Escauriaza holds a degree in law obtained from the University “Pontificia de Comillas” in 2001. She also has a Magister in Intellectual Property and Information Society Law from the University of Alicante. Before joining Bird & Bird Beatriz worked for Gómez Acebo & Pombo (2004-2006) in the area of Intellectual Property, primarily handling matters related to patents, trademarks, designs, domain names and unfair competition, before both the Spanish Tribunals and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. She previously worked for Garrigues (2001-2003) in the area of litigation.
She has lectured at various courses and conferences relating to Industrial Property and Information Society and published a few articles on those issues.
